Mr. Keiichiro Kuboniwa nominated to be R&I's New President

February 21, 2007, The Board of Directors of Rating and Investment Information, Inc. (R&I)nominated
the current Executive Vice President Mr. Keiichiro Kuboniwa (61) to assume the position of President and
Representative Director, and the current President Mr. Yasuhiro Harada (61) to assume the position of
Chairman and Representative Director. The above personnel will be appointed formally after the shareholders
meeting on March 26, 2007.
